1345차 일본군성노예제 문제해결을 위한 정기 수요시위는 과천외고 동아리 VANK 주관으로 진행되었습니다. 12시 집회가 시작되기 훨씬 전부터 평화로는 가득 찼고, 장애여성공감, 김제여고, 대화중, 세종 한솔고, 성사중 인권동아리 등대, 포항여성회와 평화의소녀상 청소년지킴이단, 휘경중, 나곡중 동아리 반크, 용인 신갈고, 분당 한솔고, 독산고, 반송고, 진안동부교회, 하남고, 삼괴고, 홍익사범대학부설여고, 예일여고, 근현대사역사동아리 역동, 예산군청소년미래센터, 영종중, 전국금속노조 쌍용자동차지부와 시민들 600여명이 함께 했습니다.

여는 공연 바위처럼에 이어 윤미향 정대협 대표의 경과보고와 김제여고 학생들의 문화공연 <나비야> 합창이 진행되었습니다. 참가단체 소개에 이어 영종중, 대화중, 예산군청소년미래센터, 휘경중, 포항 평화의소녀상 청소년 지킴이, 한국디지털미디어고, 분당 한솔고, 샌프란시스코 Korean Education Program, 반송고, 쌍용자동차지부 김정욱 사무국장의 자유발언이 진행되었습니다.

일본군‘위안부’는 조선의 여성들뿐만 아니라 일본 제국이 점령한 나라의 여성들까지 포함하여 전쟁 중에 일본군의 성욕 해결, 성병 예방, 치안 유지, 강간 방지 등을 목적으로 동원된 여성들을 뜻합니다. 위안부로 동원된 여성들은 정신적&신체적으로 씻을 수 없는 상처를 받았고, 이 때문에 평생 고통 속에서 살았습니다. 그러나 일본정부는 범죄인정은커녕 역사를 왜곡하고 지우기에 급급했으며, 급기야 2015 한일합의를 통해 그저 돈으로만 보상하려는 태도를 취하였고, 피해자 중심의 문제 해결은커녕 위로의 말 한 마디조차 없었습니다. 이는 피해자 여성들에게 더욱더 깊은 상처를 낼 뿐 이었습니다.

이제 더 이상 늦춰서는 안 됩니다, 전 세계 일본군‘위안부’ 피해 여성들에게 진심을 담은 사죄를 하고 다시는 이런 범죄가 재발되지 않도록 약속하고 교육하는 것이 일본정부가 앞으로 취해야 하는 자세입니다. 국제사회에서도 2015한일합의에 대해 “피해자에 대한 보상과 명예회복, 진실규명과 재발 방지 약속 등과 관련해서는 합의가 충분하지 않다"라고 권고한 바가 있듯이, 일본정부는 일본군‘위안부’문제 모든 범죄를 인정하고, 가해국의 책임을 다해야 합니다. 한국정부 역시 일본정부가 스스로 이 문제를 해결하기를 기다리는 것이 아니라 피해국가로서 문제 해결을 위해 적극적으로 촉구해야 합니다.

일본군성노예제 문제 해결을 위한 지난 27년간의 수많은 노력에 이어, 이 문제가 정의롭게 해결될 때까지 우리는 역사에 대한 올바른 태도와 인식을 가지고 노력해야 하며, 끝까지 연대해야 할 것입니다.

Hello everyone. Today, as a student and a citizen of Korea, I’m here to voice solidarity with the victims of the Japanese military slavery and to demand an apology and legal reparation to the Japan government. Japanese military sexual slavery victims were not only from Korea but also from other countries that Japan had occupied. At that time, the Japanese government gathered women to settle Japanese soldiers’ sexual desire, to prevent rape and sexually transmitted disease, and to maintain public order during the war. The women who were mobilized for military sexual slavery suffered from physical and psychological pains that will not be easily erased. Because of this, they lived in pain. However, the Japanese government just tried to distort and erase the history and even to settle everything with money, as in the agreement between Korean and Japanese governments in 2015. The Japanese government also has not apologized until now and they don’t even offer words of consolation. This kind of action only leads to further the pain of the victims. It should not be delayed any longer. The Japanese government should take an action by apologizing sincerely to the victims around the world and keep an attitude of reflection by promising and educating so that the military sexual slavery does not recur. As the international community recommended about the victims of the Japanese military slavery that ‘associated with compensation, clarification of the truth and regaining one’s honor for victims, agreement is not sufficient,’ the Japanese government should concede the whole offence and fulfill its responsibility. As a victimized nation, the Korean government also should exert itself to solve this problem, not just wait. Adding to the last 27 year’s countless efforts for resolving the victims of the Japanese military slavery problem, we should try our best to have proper attitude and cognition toward history until this problem is resolved.
