1355차 일본군성노예제 문제해결을 위한 정기 수요시위는 인천국제고등학교 동아리 UTOPIA 주관으로 진행되었습니다. 김복동 할머니, 길원옥 할머니, 신수중학교, 전북 고창 영선중학교, 경기도 양평중학교, 이화여자외국어고등학교, 문화보국 역사동아리, 산청 간디중학교, 인천국제고등학교, 충청평화나비, 희망나비, 광주나비, 제주청년나비, 천주섭리수녀회, 강원대학교 ‘젊은이의 삶과 인권’ 수업 학생들, 서울여대 평화나비, 프라도 수녀회, 마리몬드, 한국외대 인문대 학생회와 시민 1000여 명이 참석했습니다.

여는 노래 <바위처럼>에 이어 주관단체 인사말과 윤미향 정의기억연대 대표의 경과보고가 진행되었습니다. 이후 길원옥 할머니께서 참가자들에게 <눈물 젖은 두만강> <찔레꽃> 노래선물을 해주셨습니다.

문화공연으로는 인천국제고 뮤지컬 동아리 MAD의 합창과 산청 간디중학교의 율동공연이 있었습니다. 참가단체 소개에 이어 많은 분들이 자유발언에 함께 했습니다. 이화외고, 신수중학교, 영선중학교, 호서대학교, 성균관대학교 학생들과 부산청년, 오사카 화요행동 모리모토 다다노리 님, 제주청년나비, 한국외대 인문대학생회, 인천국제고, 문화보국 역사동아리에서 일본군성노예제 문제해결을 위한 우리들의 목소리와 요구를 밝혔습니다.

참가자 자유발언 후, 김복동 할머니의 말씀이 이어졌습니다. 할머니께서는 감사인사와 함께 일본의 조선학교이야기, 남북통일과 평화이야기, 화해치유재단 해산과 한국정부 이야기, 관함식과 욱일기 이야기 등 많은 말씀을 해주셨습니다. 참가자들에게 “여러분 같이 싸우겠지요? 열심히 싸워서 우리가 이깁시다!” 라고 말씀하시며 큰소리로 구호도 함께 외쳤습니다.

마지막으로 수요시위에 대한 간단한 퀴즈시간을 갖고 성명서 낭독 후 1355차 수요시위는 마무리 되었습니다. 일본대사관 앞 평화로를 가득 채우고, 일본군성노예제 문제의 정의로운 해결을 위해 함께해주신 모든 분들, 감사드립니다. 다음주 수요일에 다시 뵙겠습니다!

제 1355****차 일본군성노예제 문제해결을 위한 정기수요시위 성명서

일본 정부는 일본군 성노예제 범죄의 강제성을 부인하며 과거 침략전쟁에 대한 진정한 사죄와 용서를 구하기는커녕 역사를 왜곡하고 있습니다. 김학순 할머니를 시작으로 “내가 바로 ‘위안부’였다”용기내어 고백한 피해 할머니들께서 계시고 일본군’위안부’의 실상을 증언한 당시 일본군인들이 있습니다. 일본군 및 관헌 기록과 연합군 기록에 일본군 성노예제 문제의 사실이 명백히 드러나 있습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 일본 정부는 계속해서 거짓말을 하고 있습니다.

일본 정부는 박근혜 정부 시절, 2015년 한일 외교부 장관 회담에서 ‘합의’를 통해 일본군’위안부’ 문제에 대해 ‘최종적이고 불가역적 해결’을 했다고 공표하며 진정성 있는 사죄와 피해자들을 위한 보상의 의무를 저버렸습니다. 이는 일본의 잘못에 대한 책임 있는 사죄를 바랐던 온 국민, 그리고 그 잘못을 직접 겪으신 할머님들의 깊은 상처를 씻어주지 못했습니다.

우리에게 남아있는 시간은 길지 않습니다. 하루빨리 위안부 피해 할머님들이 일본 정부로부터 진정한 사죄를 받아야 할 것이며, 우리의 아픈 역사를 모두가 기억할 수 있게 해야 합니다. 우리는 일본이 과거의 잘못에 대해 공식적으로 사죄하고 법적 배상할 것을 강력히 촉구합니다. 또한 역사를 인정하지 않으려 자행한 역사 왜곡과 배려 없는 태도에 대해 사죄하고 전쟁의 참상과 진실을 알리기 위한 올바른 역사기록과 교육이 시행될 것을 촉구합니다.

우리는 역사의 진실을 밝히고 역사의 아픔을 기억할 것입니다. 잊지 않는다는 것은 과거부터 지금까지의 역사를 시대에 따라 구분하는 것이 아니라 하나의 스펙트럼으로 보고 내가 역사 속에 있으며, 역사 속에 있을 것을 약속하는 것입니다. 잊지 않겠습니다. 할머니들의 역사 속에 우리가 함께 있을 것을 약속합니다.

한국 정부는 일본 정부에 일본군 성노예제 문제 해결 이행을 적극적으로 촉구하라!

Statement for the 1355****th Wednesday Demonstration for the Resolution of the Japanese Military Sexual Slavery Issue

The Japanese government denies the forcibleness of the Japanese military sexual slavery system and distorts history, rather than seeking true apologies and forgiveness for their war of aggression. Starting with Kim Hak-soon, there are victims who bravely confessed, “I was a ‘comfort woman,’” and there are Japanese soldiers who testified to the actuality of the Japanese Military Slavery system. The truth of the ‘Comfort Women’ issue is clearly evident in the records of the Japanese military and allied forces.

The Japanese government abandoned its responsibility for sincere apology and reparation for victims by announcing that it had “final and irreversible resolution" to the ‘Comfort Women’ issue during the meeting between the foreign ministers in 2015. However, the 2015 Korea-Japan Agreement did not wash away the deep scars of the victims who suffered in the hands of the Japanese government and of the people who hoped for a responsible apology from the Japanese government.

We do not have much time left. The victims must receive sincere apology from the Japanese government, and we must all remember the painful history together. We strongly urge Japan to publicly apologize and make legal reparations for past war crimes. We also demand the Japanese government to apologize for their historical distortions and inconsiderate attitudes that have been committed to deny history, to correct history records and education to let everybody know the misery and truth of war.

We will reveal the truth of history and remember the pain of history. We will never forget it. We will be together in our grandmothers’[halmoni’s] history.

The Japanese government should acknowledge their crimes and clarify what they did.

The Japanese government should formally apologize to victims and make legal reparations.

The Japanese government should record the sex slavery issue in their history textbook and educate it rightly.

The Korean government and the Japanese government should immediately denounce the 2015 Korea-Japan agreement which was made without the consent of the people directly involved in.

The Korean government should actively urge the resolution of the Japanese military sexual slavery issue.
