[일본군’위안부’ 판결 관련 세계법률가선언 연명요청]

일본군’위안부’ 문제에 대하여 지난 1월 8일 서울중앙지방법원이 일본국의 불법행위 책임을 인정하는 획기적인 판결을 선고하였습니다.

약 30년간 일본군’위안부’ 피해자의 곁에서 일본 정부의 책임을 묻기 위하여 소송대리와 일본 국내에서 피해자 지원을 해온 일본 법률가, 중국 법률가, 한국 법률가들이 이번 판결의 국제인권적인 의미를 알리고 일본 정부에게 판결의 이행을 촉구하고자 세계법률가성명을 조직하고 있습니다.

Global Jurists Statement in support of the Seoul Central District Court decision of Japanese Military “Comfort Women” Victims v. Japan case* The Seoul Central District Court made a landmark judgment finding Japan legally responsible for crimes against humanity regarding the Japanese military “comfort women” victim-survivors on January 8, 2021.

* Lawyers and legal experts from Japan, China, and the Republic of Korea, who have been supporting and representing the victims of the Japanese military “comfort women” victims for the past 30 years, are organizing this joint statement of global jurists to inform the significance of this decision in the international human rights as well as to call on the Japanese government to comply with the judgment.
