• Janggok Middle School Students at Wednesday Demonstration At the 1365th and 1366th Wednesday Demonstrations, students from Janggok Middle School shared drawings and poems to remember the Japanese military sexual slavery victims’ activism that they learned about. The students also delivered 2,034,510 won to support the resolution of the Japanese military sexual slavery issue. • Sinneung Middle School Students On December 11th and 18th, Sinneung Middle School donated 713,620 won to the Hands in Hands with 200,000 Japanese Military Sexual Slavery Victims campaign. In 2017, Sinneung Middle School donated fund from selling hand-made badges after learning about the Japanese military sexual slavery issue at school. • Obituary for Lee Gui-nyeo halmoni On December 14th, 2018, Lee Gui-nyeo halmoni who stayed in a nursing hospital in Yongin passed away. Halmoni was born in Cheongju, Chungcheongbukdo in 1926. When she was 17 or 18 years old, the head of the village said she can earn a lot of money in China. Her mother replied that halmoni should stay and get married, but the head of the village told her that she can always come back. 2018년 12월 18일

• BTS Fan club 'Army' Donates Winter Goods for Halmonies On Sunday, December 16th, the BTS fan club ‘Army’ donated winter goods to support the victims of Japanese military sexual slavery. ‘Army’ organized a fundraising event with fans from Korea, the U.S., Japan, Europe, and Central/South America from November 9th to November 30th. ‘Army’ shared that it was the fans’ wish to support halmonies through the cold winter. ‘Army’ also promised to continue to stand in solidarity with the victims. 2018년 12월 16일

• Statue of Peace in Gyeonggi-do Assembly On December 14th, the Gyeonggi-do Assembly unveiled the Statue of Peace. It is the first Statue of Peace to be installed in local government, and the members of the assembly played an important role to establish the statue. Yoon Mee-hyang, representative of the Korean Council, gave a congratulatory speech.
