• Donation from Les Papillons(Vietnam) Subin Sim, a student at an international school in Vietnam, learned about the Japanese military sexual slavery issue and the victims of sexual violence by the Korean military during the U.S. War in Vietnam through reading the book 25 Years of Wednesdays. In order to stand in solidarity with the victims of both issues, she and members from Les Papillons (a group for Korean students attending international schools) created badges representing the Japanese military ‘comfort women’ victims and sold them to people from the school and the neighborhood for 50,000VND (approximately 2500KRW). 2019년 3월 4일

• 'UnComfort Women' Project Donates to the Kim Bok-dong Peace Fund On December 20th, the ‘UnComfort Women’ Project (HS ad, HS 애드) visited Peaceful Our Home and donated 5,000,000 won to the Kim Bok-dong Peace Fund. The ‘UnComfort Women’ Project (https://uncomfortwomen.com/) is a social movement in which anyone can upload their photo and establish the Statue of Peace in a location of their choice through the Geotag on Instagram. • Butterfly Fund News from Golden Women Vision in Uganda The Golden Women Vision in Uganda is an organization that supports victims of sexual slavery and child soldier system by the Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda. The representative Acan Sylvia Obal, who is also a survivor, founded the organization to support other survivors like her. Her tireless efforts and enthusiasm led her to win the 1st Kim Bok-dong Peace Prize. • Butterfly Fund News from Uganda Wend Africa The Butterfly Fund supports three organizations in Uganda that works to supports survivors of sexual slavery and child soldier system by the Lord’s Resistance Army in Uganda. Wend Africa is an organization that supports the survivors to become economically independent through making and selling handmade bags, bracelets, and dolls.
